Consultant Microbiologist and University Theme Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Microbiologist to join our team at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for leading undergraduate teaching at the University of East Anglia and working as a Consultant Medical Microbiologist/Consultant in Infectious Diseases.
Key Responsibilities- Lead undergraduate teaching at the University of East Anglia, working closely with the Department of Microbiology and the University's teaching staff.
- Work as a Consultant Medical Microbiologist/Consultant in Infectious Diseases, providing expert clinical care and guidance to patients and colleagues.
- Participate in a single rota for out-of-hours cover across Norfolk, ensuring seamless patient care and support.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with colleagues, patients, and stakeholders, promoting a culture of collaboration and excellence.
- Contribute to the development of our department's services, ensuring they remain at the forefront of innovation and best practice.
- Full GMC Registration with license to practice.
- FRCPath or equivalent with Specialist registration.
- Entry on the GMC Specialist Register.
- Participation in recognized CPD and appraisal.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire colleagues.
- Experience of teaching and training at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
