The Role

We're seeking a skilled Gameplay Programmer to join our team. As a Gameplay Programmer, you will be responsible for helping us explore, create, and deliver world-leading innovation in software and VR hardware. You will work with cutting-edge technologies on new platforms and VR headsets, prototyping and iterating gameplay mechanics and game systems.

You will be working alongside our highly talented and skilled designers and artists, contributing your skills to bring the game to life for the player. Our next VR game is a globally recognized leading game within its genre, offering a fantastic opportunity to work on a large title.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strong communication skills, able to work closely with designers, artists, and product owners
  • Pragmatic problem-solving skills, able to work with minimal supervision
  • Experience in shipping a successful game on Unreal Engine
  • Strong experience in C++ development, as well as a good understanding of Blueprint
  • Comprehensive understanding of combat design, covering player/enemy interactions, encounter design, enemy design, and AI
  • Experience with full-cycle development
  • Experience and skills in delivering games with quality gameplay mechanics
  • 5+ years of professional game development experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, or equivalent industry experience
Nice to Have Skills
  • VR development experience on Quest, Vive, or comparable flagship headsets
  • Experience with Gameplay Ability System (GAS)
  • Experience with State Trees
  • Experience with EQS
  • Experience with Unreal's animation system
  • Experience with games with a strong melee element
