Senior Production Operative

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mechanical Production Technician to join our team at Galliford Try. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective assembly and installation of our products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble and install mechanical components and sub-assemblies in accordance with designs, specifications, and production schedules.
- Check and verify that issued components and equipment comply with job parts lists and Bill of Materials, reporting any problems, errors, or shortages to the Production Management team.
- Prepare finished equipment for dispatch, loading and unloading vehicles as required, and liaise effectively with all colleagues and external stakeholders.
- Attend site and assist with site-based activities, such as installation, as required.
- Contribute to the maintenance of a safe and collaborative working environment, adhering to Health and Safety protocols and procedures.
Requirements:
- Transferrable experience in a similar role or relevant industry.
- Excellent knowledge of Health and Safety in the Workplace.
- A good understanding of plastic pipe work manufacturing techniques; glued and welded.
- Ability to interpret P&ID drawings.
- Experience in plastic fabrication.
- GCSE above grade 'C' in English, Maths, and Science.
- City and Guilds level (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
