Priory School is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs, providing dedicated support to individuals and groups of students.
Key Responsibilities- Provide support to students with Special Educational Needs, including those with Dyslexia and/or Speech and Language difficulties.
- Work closely with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized support plans.
- Assist with lesson planning and preparation, including adapting materials to meet the needs of students with Special Educational Needs.
- Support students with Maths, including providing additional support and resources as needed.
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting the social, emotional, and academic well-being of all students.
- Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs, particularly those with Dyslexia and/or Speech and Language difficulties.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and other support staff.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to meeting the needs of students.
- Knowledge of educational policies and procedures, including those related to Special Educational Needs.
- Enhanced DBS clearance, or willingness to undergo Enhanced DBS check or Enhanced check for Regulated Activity with the Disclosure & Barring Services.
