About the Role

The University of Reading is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Property Director to lead the management of its diverse property portfolio. As a key member of the Estates team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive estate strategy that aligns with the University's goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the strategic and operational management of the University's property portfolio, including asset management, property transactions, and lettings.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive estate strategy that aligns with the University's goals and objectives.
  • Manage a team of property professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure the effective delivery of estate services.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the University to ensure that estate services are aligned with business needs.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including tenants, investors, and other external partners.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a senior and strategic role as a lead property professional across a diverse estate portfolio.
  • Demonstrable breadth of experience in the property industry, with exposure to transactions, asset management, and property management.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiating skills, with an entrepreneurial, self-motivated, and dynamic mindset.
  • Ability to lead, develop, and motivate a team of property professionals.
