About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialist psychological assessment and treatment to patients across a range of care settings, including outpatient, community, primary care, and inpatient settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and develop treatment plans for patients with complex mental health needs.
  • Provide evidence-based psychological interventions, including individual and group therapy, to patients across the lifespan.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide consultation, supervision, and teaching to other professionals.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with patients, families, carers, and other stakeholders to ensure high-quality care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of clinical policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Doctorate in Clinical Psychology or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience of working in an inpatient environment or a different profession within adult mental health.
  • Formal training in supervision of other psychologists.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, carers, and other professionals.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing priorities and demands.
