Join Groundwork East as a Fundraising Officer

We are seeking a skilled Fundraising Officer to support the generation of income for Groundwork activities across the East of England. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with business development colleagues and delivery staff to identify income sources, approach funders and partners, develop and write bids, and contribute towards the annual income of the Trust.

About the Role
  • Monitor the external funding environment to identify suitable sources of charitable trust and foundation funding and tender opportunities for projects and programmes of activity.
  • Use your communication skills to write high-quality, persuasive copy that brings the charity's work to life for potential funders.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with funders, partners, and stakeholders to secure funding and support for Groundwork activities.
  • Contribute to the development of the charity's fundraising strategy and annual income plan.
What We Offer

  • A competitive salary range of £26,182 - £30,832 pro rata (depending on relevant experience).
  • A minimum of 22.5 hours - maximum of 25 hours per week, permanent contract.

Requirements
  • Experience of successful grant funding from trusts, foundations, lottery distributors, or similar.
  • Demonstrable experience of undertaking high-quality research and analysis.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with funders, partners, and stakeholders.
  • A genuine interest and enthusiasm for fundraising work and a commitment to the charity's mission and values.
