Job Title: Shift Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Shift Engineer to join our team at the Millennium Gloucester Hotel London Kensington.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel's facilities, including maintenance, repairs, and preventative measures. This will involve working closely with our maintenance team to identify and resolve issues, as well as collaborating with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out routine maintenance tasks, including checks and adjustments to temperature settings, plant, and air conditioning systems.
  • Assist with planned and preventative maintenance schedules, as required.
  • Monitor and record plant and air conditioning systems during shifts.
  • Complete floor walks and replace defective lamps.
Requirements:
  • Good mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and engineering knowledge, with the ability to troubleshoot faults.
  • Qualifications in plumbing and electrical engineering.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within hotels.
  • Basic understanding of air-conditioning and ventilation/HVAC systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Good can attitude and team player with the ability to manage own workload.
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety in the workplace.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and out-of-hours emergency call-outs.
