About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Physiotherapist to lead our Paediatric Physiotherapy Service for Children and Young People. As a Clinical Specialist Paediatric Physiotherapist, you will be responsible for managing a complex caseload and leading a team of physiotherapists to provide high-quality care to overweight and obese children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Paediatric Physiotherapy Service for Children and Young People, managing a complex caseload and supervising a team of physiotherapists.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based physiotherapy interventions for overweight and obese children, including those with additional learning needs and complex social circumstances.
  • Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team, including a clinical lead, psychologist, dietitian, occupational therapist, and consultant paediatrician, to provide comprehensive care to children and their families.
  • Supervise and mentor members of the team, as well as receive supervision and mentoring in your role.
  • Contribute to the development of evidenced-based practice, research, and clinical audit, and participate in relevant professional networking meetings and interest groups.
Requirements
  • Degree in Physiotherapy and professional registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Post-registration training in relevant areas, such as paediatric physiotherapy and management.
  • Recognised management or leadership qualification, such as a Master's degree in Healthcare Management.
  • Substantial experience of working as a paediatric physiotherapist, including experience of managing a complex caseload and supervising a team of physiotherapists.
  • Experience of developing and implementing evidence-based physiotherapy interventions, as well as contributing to the development of evidenced-based practice, research, and clinical audit.
