Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our Quality Assurance programmes team. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be responsible for providing quality assurance support on our latest multi-national development programme, ensuring adherence to our customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Management of non-conformance across the project, including supporting the engineering teams with defect investigations.
  • Provide non-conformance data analysis and summary reports to engineering and senior management, as well as customer reviews.
  • Facilitate delivery of the Product Life Cycle Gate review process, ensuring gates are undertaken to schedule, and timely closure of actions.
  • Certify and release product to our customer in accordance with the contractual requirements.
  • Identify and share opportunities for business improvement through participation in Learning Reviews.
  • Undertake root cause analysis of critical non-conformances using industry-wide problem-solving methods.
  • Facilitate and support the implementation and delivery of the FMEA process throughout the design, engineering, and manufacturing domains.

Requirements:

  • Preferably HND educated, or experience in Engineering and Quality Management.
  • Practitioner of current QA problem-solving tools/methods (8D, Six Sigma, DMAIC, etc.).
  • Knowledge and understanding of APQP and FMEA methodology.
  • Familiarity with statistical analysis.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages (PowerPoint, Word, and Excel).
  • Knowledge of the Quality Tools and an understanding of non-conformance management using SAP would be an advantage.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills are essential and able to influence others in a collaborative way.
  • Highly self-motivated, and demonstrate a determination and persistence to deliver results despite obstacles and setbacks.
  • Some travel (both UK and international) may be required.

Desirable:

  • Experience in the Defence/Aerospace or safety-regulated environment would be advantageous.
