Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Recruitment Education Global Services. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs (SEN) to access the curriculum and achieve their potential in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide tailored support to students with SEN, including those with autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, and emotional/behavioural challenges.
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering differentiated lessons and activities that meet the individual needs of students.
  • Support students with their social, emotional, and academic development, fostering an inclusive and positive learning environment.
  • Help implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff, SENCOs, and external professionals to ensure students' needs are met.

Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with children with SEN, either in a school or care setting is preferred but not necessary.
  • A Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, CACHE, or equivalent qualification is desirable but not essential.
  • Knowledge of SEN and safeguarding policies and practices.
  • Patience, empathy, and a nurturing attitude towards working with children.
