We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our fleet operations in Mexico as a Managing Director. This is a senior leadership position that requires overall responsibility for driving the company's strategic direction and operational excellence.

As the Managing Director, you will oversee various departments, manage key performance indicators, and work closely with the executive team to align business goals with successful execution. Your role involves making critical decisions, fostering innovation, and ensuring the organization's growth while upholding Moove's values and standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage relationships with local partners and build and manage high-performing teams.
  • Develop and implement launch and operational strategies to ensure business growth and profitability.
  • Collaborate with the Strategy & Planning team to devise pricing and product strategies.
  • Setup and scale Moove's business operations in the geography, ensuring compliance with local and state rules and regulations.
  • Handle escalations and manage conflict resolutions with customers.
  • Plan, process, and execute approved vehicle purchases through partner OEMs.
  • Ensure fleet operations are maintained properly and vehicles are registered and licensed under management.
  • Find ways to cut costs and maximize profits.
  • Manage safety and compliance functions.
  • Contribute to the budgeting process from a Fleet Operations perspective.
  • Liaise with peers within the region and company to share knowledge and optimize operations.
  • Monitor driver behavior and ensure a high level of customer service.
  • Analyze data to increase business operational efficiency.
  • Lead deployment and quality of supply chain (i.e. MooveDriver partners).
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to initiate creative local strategies and user growth campaigns.
Requirements
  • Degree in Logistics, Mechanical Engineering, or Management.
  • Prior team management experience of team sizes 35 people at least.
  • Ideal 10 years of similar experience in consulting operations across fleet, ride-hailing, logistics, or supply functions in startups.
  • Excellent communication skills in Spanish and English.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Outstanding organizational skills.
  • Analytical mindset and good problem-solving skills.
  • Candidates will be subject to analytical tests prior to interviews.
  • Candidates must be tech-savvy and data-centric.
  • MBA will be preferred but not a mandatory requirement.
  • Growth mindset to scale up products and new geographies.
