About the RoleWe are seeking a qualified and experienced Social Worker to join our team as a Team Manager. As a key member of our Children's Safeguarding Team, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of approximately 120 children and their families, providing support and guidance to ensure their safety and well-being.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' experience as a Social Worker in a Children's Social Work team, with a strong understanding of child protection and safeguarding procedures. You will be a registered member of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and hold a DipSW or equivalent qualification.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a caseload of approximately 120 children and their families, providing support and guidance to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Work closely with other professionals, including police, education, and health services, to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and families.
- Develop and implement effective plans to support children and families, including Child in Need and Child Protection plans.
- Provide supervision and guidance to junior Social Workers, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to carry out their roles effectively.
- Contribute to the development of the Children's Safeguarding Team, including identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to improve practice.
