Job Title: SEN Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teacher to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As an SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons to students with Special Educational Needs, adapting teaching methods to meet individual student needs, and collaborating with SENCO and other support staff to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and deliver high-quality lessons for students with SEN, using a range of teaching methods and materials to meet individual student needs.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback to students and parents/guardians.
  • Collaborate with SENCO and other support staff to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) that meet the needs of students with SEN.
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students, promoting social and emotional well-being.
  • Keep accurate records of student attendance, behaviour, and academic performance.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience working with students with Special Educational Needs.
  • Knowledge of SEN Code of Practice and relevant legislation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students, using a range of teaching methods and materials.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Postgraduate qualification in Special Educational Needs.
  • Training in Makaton, PECS, or other communication systems.
