About the Role

The Fostering Team Manager is a key leadership position within Bolton Council, responsible for overseeing the Fostering Service and ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to children and young people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage a team of Social Workers and a Family Support Worker
  • Jointly responsible for the allocation of work, monitoring of service provision, and overseeing the recruitment process
  • Supervise the Deputy Manager and provide guidance and support as needed
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve service delivery and outcomes
  • Collaborate with other teams and services to ensure effective communication and coordination

Requirements:

  • Social Work qualification and experience in fostering
  • Understanding of Family and Friends/Connected Persons and ability to work closely with this manager
  • Experience of managing students, professionals, and operational teams
  • Passion for inspiring others and driving innovation in service delivery
  • Dynamic, creative, and innovative approach to problem-solving
