Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Maintenance Controller to join our team at Boeing. As a key member of the BDUK Vertical Lift Operations Team, you will be responsible for the delivery and execution of Base Maintenance and/or modification upgrades on aircraft or multiple aircraft within the operational environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a multidiscipline team of maintenance control staff to carry out the planning, day-to-day oversight, and control of the maintenance event.
- Ensure sufficient resource is available to meet aircraft schedule milestones and on time completion of work, with due consideration to HF (personnel, tooling and spares).
- Manage the integration of emerging and scheduled Over and Above work within the scheduled work load.
- Carry out 3rd Signature Co-ordination of maintenance packages.
- Control and management of defects (emergent work) arising from a Maintenance input or modification.
- Participate in Continual Improvement workshops as a Subject Matter Expert, when required.
Requirements
- Highly experienced in scheduled maintenance, repair and modification, with demonstrable experience of leading teams in an aerospace environment. Chinook experience is desirable.
- Ability to gain the required experience/competencies to gain 3rd signature authority.
- Good communicator, technical and non-technical, with the ability to effectively engage across multiple Functions and levels, both internally and with the customer.
- Demonstrable and proven working knowledge of MAA Regulatory Articles (RA), MAA Regulatory Publication (MRP) Part 145, BDUK MRP 145 MOE, aviation Quality Assurance (QA) and Safety Management System (SMS) processes.
Work Environment
This position requires the ability to obtain a UK security clearance for which the Government requires UK Citizenship. Boeing is the world's largest aerospace company and leading manufacturer of commercial airplanes and defense, space and security systems.
