Fawkes and Reece is a leading company in the renewable energy sector, specializing in solar PV design and installation. We are seeking an experienced Design Engineer to join our team in Oxford.

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Design Engineer to work on a variety of projects across the residential, education, commercial, and industrial sectors. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating CAD designs of solar PV and battery storage systems that meet project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Design and Development
  • Manage and complete design packages for project proposals from clients, including tenders.
  • Complete grid connection applications, connection surgeries, and engage with distribution network operators (DNOs) throughout the project.
Project Coordination
  • Undertake initial yield assessments of potential solar sites, including data analysis to determine array size and layout.
Collaboration and Communication
  • Work closely with the Operations Director and other team members to ensure project success.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in solar PV design and installation.
  • Strong knowledge of CAD design software and grid connection applications.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
