About the Role

Glasgow City Council is seeking a highly motivated and versatile graduate planner to join our Development Management team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our city through the development and implementation of planning policies and strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of planning policies and strategies that promote sustainable development and economic growth.
  • Work closely with stakeholders, including developers, community groups, and other council departments, to ensure that planning decisions are informed and effective.
  • Assist in the preparation and presentation of planning applications, reports, and other documents.
  • Participate in the review and evaluation of planning applications, ensuring that they meet the necessary standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to identify and address planning issues and opportunities, and to develop innovative solutions to complex problems.

Requirements
