The Role: Income Coordinator

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Income Coordinator to join our Finance Team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the accurate and timely generation of invoices, maintaining compliance with billing policies and procedures, and fostering strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate funding records for individuals receiving care, reflecting admissions, changes in circumstances, and discharges.
  • Generate invoices for Local Authorities, Integrated Care Boards (ICBs), and personal contributions using our Income Processing system and relevant portal systems.
  • Reconcile daily cash receipts with corresponding invoices to ensure accuracy and minimize billing errors.
    • Update the Income Processing system promptly with funding changes, including retrospective claims to mitigate income gaps.
    • Provide professional customer service by resolving account inquiries via telephone and email.
    • Collaborate with other departments to gather accurate billing information.
    • Liaise with Local Authority contacts to investigate discrepancies in payment values.
    • Support system funding updates related to new business, mergers, acquisitions, and mobilizations.
    • Assist the Income Manager with various tasks as needed.

    Your Skills and Experience:

    • GCSE Maths and English - Grade C / Levels 4 and 5 or equivalent
    • Proven experience working in a finance department
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
    • Experience handling large volumes of data
    • Experience within the care sector is desirable but not essential
