About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Store Manager to join our team in the Gillingham Area. As a key member of our store leadership team, you'll play a vital role in driving store performance, leading a high-performing team, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

As a Deputy Store Manager, you'll be responsible for supporting the Store Manager in running the store, leading by example, and driving a strong sense of teamwork. You'll work closely with the Store Manager to develop and implement strategies to drive sales growth, improve customer satisfaction, and enhance store operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Store Manager in leading the store team and driving store performance.
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive sales growth, improve customer satisfaction, and enhance store operations.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating a strong work ethic, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Work closely with the Store Manager to develop and implement plans to improve store performance, including sales growth, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
  • Support the Store Manager in managing store budgets, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance team skills and knowledge.
  • Conduct regular team meetings, provide feedback, and coach team members to improve performance.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Proven experience in a retail management role, preferably in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a high-performing team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and bank holidays.
  • Experience with stock management, inventory control, and visual merchandising.
  • Knowledge of retail operations, including sales forecasting, budgeting, and reporting.
