About the Role

This is a key position within Amazon UK Services Ltd., responsible for leading operational teams and driving excellence in safety, quality, and productivity across our sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and develop a team of Area Managers to achieve business objectives.
  • Lead operational teams on a shift, addressing issues, and positively impacting site performance.
  • Analyze shift performance against relevant business objectives and implement actions to improve operational excellence.
  • Collaborate with support teams, including HR, Finance, Health and Safety, and Security, to ensure seamless operations.
  • Design and deliver initiatives to enhance operational performance across sites.
A Day in the Life

As an Operations Manager, you will lead shifts at one of our operational sites, serving as a key link between various teams, including finance, safety, and operations integration teams.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Meeting with different business areas to discuss performance and risk metrics.
  • Deep diving into site performance data to identify areas for improvement.
  • Mentoring and coaching your team to achieve their full potential.
Basic Qualifications
  • A degree in a relevant field.
  • Relevant experience in people and stakeholder management.
  • Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English and intermediate proficiency in the local language.
  • Experience in using data or anecdotal evidence to influence business decisions.
  • Relevant experience in key areas of production and supply chains.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen techniques.
  • Experience in a similar logistical working environment.
  • Relevant experience working with the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional environment.
