Injection Moulding Technician

We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our client's manufacturing team in Sedgefield. As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for running and setting Injection Moulding machines with Automation, ensuring efficient production and quality standards are met.
Key Responsibilities- Operate all IML machines, including robotics, in a safe and timely manner.
- Ensure machine packers are trained and utilized correctly, reporting any issues to management.
- Perform product changeovers, setups, and run established tooling to customer specifications and production time targets.
- Diagnose and correct running faults in a timely manner.
- Effectively communicate progress and any issues to the Shift Manager/Process Engineer.
- Responsible for machine handover to the next Shift Technician.
- Record and segregate all scrap product in ATR bins.
- Complete required information on IT systems/paperwork, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain machine efficiencies and minimize scrap production.
- Identify tooling and process issues and communicate these to the Shift Manager/Process Engineer.
- Maintain the area, including machines, to the highest hygiene level possible.
- Control the process to maximize output while minimizing scrap.
- Ensure correct procedures are followed when changing labels or performing tool changes.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Follow all procedures outlined in the training document and Handbook.
- Take an active part in training and development programs.
- Good verbal communication and listening skills, with all communication in English.
- Ability to use own initiative to work as an individual or as part of a team unsupervised.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment to meet team expectations.
- Ability to operate computer equipment for data purposes.
- Ability to use a variety of measuring equipment.
- A methodical approach to systems and understanding of the importance of standards and established/agreed systems of work.
- Able to make decisions based on experience and have confidence to act within given boundaries.
- Good personal organization under pressure from time, internal, and external customers.
- Ability to read and understand written planning and follow verbal instructions.
- A flexible approach to work.
