Smiths Detection is seeking a highly skilled Senior Training Consultant to join our Global Training and Technical Documentation department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting complex Training Needs Analysis (TNA) for various sectors, including internal employee groups and external customers.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct TNA for internal and external customers, identifying learning needs and creating learning pathways to fulfill these needs.
- Manage induction training pathways for internal target audiences, refreshing training content as needed.
- Deliver training on TNA to wider Training and Technical Documentation team members.
- Write TNA reports for internal and external customers, presenting findings with confidence and expertise.
- Identify and communicate organizational problems that may be leading to training issues.
- Conduct stakeholder interviews and develop questionnaires to collect reliable and valid quantitative data.
- Create and deploy communication plans to share TNA outputs across the global organization.
- Work closely with departments to tailor training outputs to customer requirements.
- Coordinate and manage outputs from TNA that require training design activity.
- Act as liaison between Global Training and Technical Documentation Department and other departments on all topics related to TNA.
- Stay up-to-date with changing technologies and future of TNA and training delivery.
- Lead TNA project meetings and establish exceptional relationships with stakeholders.
- Formal qualification in TNA or related HR function (desirable but not essential).
- Higher-level qualification in Training Management, Training Analysis, or related field.
- Willingness to work towards additional professional development targets.
- Exceptional written English skills.
- Knowledge of at least one Training Analysis framework (e.g., ADDIE, SAM).
- Experience in producing and/or assuring comprehensive TNA reports.
- Ability to work in project environments and adapt to changing priorities.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
