Job Title: Senior Training Consultant

Smiths Detection is seeking a highly skilled Senior Training Consultant to join our Global Training and Technical Documentation department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting complex Training Needs Analysis (TNA) for internal and external stakeholders, identifying learning needs, and creating and deploying learning pathways to fulfill these needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct TNA for a range of sectors, including stakeholder management, communication, and data gathering
  • Identify learning needs of internal employee groups and create learning pathways
  • Manage induction training pathways for internal target audiences
  • Deliver training on TNA to wider Training and Technical Documentation team members
  • Write TNA reports for internal and external customers
  • Observe and identify organizational problems leading to training issues
  • Conduct stakeholder interviews and develop questionnaires for data collection
  • Create communication plans to share TNA outputs across the global organization
  • Work with internal learning teams to identify internal learning pathways
  • Lead TNA project meetings and establish relationships with stakeholders
Requirements:
  • Formal qualification in TNA or related HR function
  • Higher-level qualification in Training Management or related field
  • Exceptional written English skills
  • Knowledge of at least one Training Analysis framework (e.g., ADDIE, SAM)
  • Experience in producing and assuring comprehensive TNA reports
  • Ability to work in a project environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications
