Job Title: Lead Modern Workplace Engineer

Location: Hybrid / Flexible

Salary: £66,038 to £90,802 per annum (London) / £60,076 to £82,605 per annum (National)

Hours: 36 hours per week - flexible options considered

Contract Type: Permanent

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Lead Modern Workplace Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for leading the management, refinement, and delivery of changes within the Microsoft 365 environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead an agile team to optimise workflows and processes, ensuring the delivery of superior quality outcomes.
  • Implement complex technology solutions, including Modern Device Management techniques, Windows Enterprise, endpoint security, application deployment, and Identity and Access Management.
  • Deploy security strategies such as Zero Trust, using tools like Microsoft Defender for Endpoint and Windows Defender Application Control (WDAC).
  • Collaborate closely with Architects to effectively translate high-level designs into low-level configurations, actionable stories, and tasks.
  • Guide, mentor, and nurture the development of a team of Engineers and Analysts, fostering a culture of learning and continuous progression throughout the organisation.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Lead Engineer, with expertise in implementing complex technology solutions.
  • Extensive technical knowledge in the implementation and management of M365 solutions, including Modern Device Management techniques, Windows Enterprise, endpoint security, application deployment, and Identity and Access Management.
  • Proficiency in deploying security strategies such as Zero Trust, using tools like Microsoft Defender for Endpoint and Windows Defender Application Control (WDAC).
  • Expertise in Microsoft Entra ID for secure user management and effective use of Entitlement Management.
  • Strong programming skills in PowerShell and scripting languages.
  • Experience in managing Apple devices using platforms such as Jamf.
