About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Planned Investment Surveyor to join our team at The Guinness Partnership. As a key member of our property investment team, you will play a crucial role in the specification and project management of investment surveys to our properties and assets.

The successful candidate will have excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to establish positive working relationships with colleagues, customers, and suppliers to ensure delivery of high-quality service in accordance with our operational plans, contract requirements, and statutory obligations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the organization to plan, contract manage, and deliver annual planned and cyclical maintenance and investment surveying projects.
  • Conduct thorough building, party wall, adaptations & stock condition surveys to ensure accurate condition data.
  • Specify and tender contracts for investment and cyclical works, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Project manage/quality assure works undertaken by contractors, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Deliver successful Section 20 works programmes, meeting customer needs and expectations.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Demonstrable experience and in-depth knowledge of Building Regulations and CDM, HHSRS assessments, Party Walls, Aids & Adaptations, Decent Homes, and Planning/Building control.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a willingness to travel to undertake site visits and physically inspect properties.
  • A recognised technical qualification or professional qualification in building/surveying, e.g., BSc, MCIOB or MRICS.
  • A full current UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
