Band 6 Scrub Nurse Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Band 6 Scrub Nurse to join our dynamic Operating Department at Whittington Health Trust.

As a valued member of our theatres team, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the smooth operation of our 6 theatres, which include Orthopaedics, Trauma and Emergency, Gynaecology, General Surgery, Day Surgery, and Urology.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Ensure the maintenance of high standards of nursing care and adhere to the prescribed standards of nursing/ODP care set for the department.
  2. Provide individualised nursing/ODP care according to guidance provided by the Professional Development Department and senior nursing staff.
  3. Counsel patients, their relatives, and nursing/ODP staff as appropriate.
  4. Liaise with colleagues and community staff to ensure continuity of clinical practice.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse with NMC Registration
  • Minimum of 6 months post-registration experience within an acute healthcare setting/NHS
  • Proven experience working in a theatres setting
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
