Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced MEP Project Surveyor to contribute to our innovative building projects. This role is essential for those who are passionate about working on complex and groundbreaking developments.

Team Dynamics:

The Engineering Services and Utilities Team operates within the London Cost Management sector, focusing on the financial management of engineering services across diverse markets.


Key Responsibilities:

The selected MEP Project Surveyor will be responsible for:

  • Providing precise and value-oriented cost management services for significant commercial and public sector projects.
  • Collaborating with team members to oversee all phases of MEP cost management, from project inception to completion.
  • Managing a portfolio of projects with values ranging from £5 million to £50 million.

Essential Skills:
  • Expertise in cost planning, including area schedules and quantity measurement.
  • Proficiency in preparing tender documentation and evaluating bids.
  • Experience in feasibility estimates and value engineering.
  • Strong risk management capabilities.
  • Post-contract management skills, including valuation preparation and final account resolution.
  • Ability to foster client relationships and generate repeat business.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a consultancy environment, particularly in MEP cost management.
  • Strong understanding of standard contract forms such as JCT and NEC.
  • Excellent IT skills and familiarity with digital measurement and cost planning tools.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or Cost Management.
  • Chartered status with RICS, CIOB, or a similar institution.
