We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Peer Support Specialist. As a Peer Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with mental health challenges to achieve their recovery goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide peer support and guidance to individuals with mental health challenges, drawing on your own lived experience and expertise.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement personalized recovery plans.
  • Support individuals to access a range of community resources and services, promoting independence and self-advocacy.
  • Act as a role model and advocate for individuals with mental health challenges, promoting a culture of recovery and empowerment.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in peer support and mental health.
Requirements
  • Lived experience of using mental health services.
  • Previous care experience with people who have mental health difficulties.
  • Basic IT skills and ability to use electronic record systems.
  • Good communication and listening skills, with ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Ability to manage time and plan work, with a focus on delivering high-quality services.
