Senior RF Systems Engineer

Orbex is seeking an experienced RF System Design Engineer to join our Avionics Team in Forres, with a focus on space or aeronautical segment experience. The successful candidate will work on the development, integration, and test of airborne and ground-based radio systems for the Orbex Prime launch vehicle.
Key Responsibilities:- High-level RF communication system analysis, development, integration, and test.
- Link budget analysis, RF line-up analysis, and hardware selection.
- Developing test plans and leading unit-level and system-level electrical and environmental test campaigns.
- Proactively participating in design reviews and initiating design reviews to mitigate risk when appropriate.
- Collaboration with colleagues from different disciplines, such as software engineering, mechanical and thermal engineering, and systems engineering.
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or Telecommunications Engineering with a focus on RF/Microwave Engineering.
- Minimum 4 years of work experience on RF circuit/system design, development, integration, and testing.
- Effectively using related test equipment, such as spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, power sensors, and oscilloscopes.
