About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Level 3 qualified Third in Charge to join our Bright Horizons Winchester Day Nursery team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor a team to deliver exceptional care and education to children in our care
  • Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead, ensuring the day-to-day running of the nursery and management of safeguarding and child protection policies
  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships with colleagues, parents, and other professionals to meet the needs of each child
  • Promote the nursery to current and potential customers to support retention and occupancy growth
  • Ensure commercial success by maintaining expenditure inline with FTEs and budget KPIs
Requirements
  • Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification
  • Previous experience working in an Early Years setting, ideally as a Third in Charge, Room Leader, or Early Years Educator
  • Confident decision maker with experience providing support and leadership to others
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and legislative requirements
  • Ability to build trust and strong working relationships with colleagues and parents
