Job Summary:
The Uniform Room and Seamstress Attendant is a key member of our Marriott International team, responsible for ensuring the highest quality of uniforms and guest clothing. This role requires attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mend, repair, and alter guest clothing and employee uniforms using hand stitching, adhesive patches, or sewing machines.
- Iron guest laundry to a high standard, meeting service expectations.
- Distribute clean uniforms to personnel according to company specifications.
- Conduct quality checks before and after dry cleaning.
- Record any damages and inform guests or associates before sending items for cleaning.
- Keep records of sent and returned laundry.
- Record discrepancies and inform the Head of Department.
- Document assigned and unassigned uniforms as they are distributed, returned, or cleaned.
- Maintain accurate records of uniform distributions and returns.
- Anticipate and address guests', employee's service needs in a professional, positive, and timely manner.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
- Sewing skills and familiarity with sewing machines.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and move objects up to 10 pounds.
