Job Description

A leading property management company, Stride, is seeking a seasoned professional to fill the role of Trade Manager - Property Maintenance. This position involves overseeing a team of skilled tradespeople responsible for delivering responsive repair services to a large portfolio of properties.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Customer Focus: Ensure that all repairs are completed to the highest standard, meeting the needs of our customers in a safe and timely manner.
  2. Financial Management: Manage a budget of approximately £1 million per annum, ensuring that all expenditures are aligned with company objectives.
  3. Data Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within our property management systems.
  4. Health and Safety: Promote a culture of safety within the team, adhering to relevant legislation and guidelines.
  5. Local Knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of the local community, assets, and investment needs to inform repair decisions.
  6. Team Leadership: Engage with residents and stakeholders to develop co-created services, leveraging the expertise of the team to deliver exceptional results.
  7. Operational Planning: Plan, track, and forecast income and expenditure against relevant budgets, identifying opportunities to mitigate risks and deliver value for money.
  8. Commercial Acumen: Demonstrate a strong understanding of commercial principles, applying this knowledge to drive business growth and improvement.
  9. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all activities are conducted in accordance with relevant health, safety, and environmental legislation.
  10. Technical Skills: Proficiently use Microsoft Office Suite, with intermediate to advanced Excel skills.

This role requires occasional travel, so a full UK driving license and access to a car are essential.
