Junior Geotechnical Engineer Opportunity

This is an exciting chance for a graduate geotechnical engineer to join a team of geotechnical consultants and take the next step in their career. The successful candidate will be provided with specialist training on a variety of ground investigation projects, with the support of 7 other offices for stability and varied opportunities.

Responsibilities:
  • Assisting with site walkovers and carrying out ground investigations and desk studies.
  • Taking soil samples, bore-hole logging, and preparing phase plans.
  • Writing factual and interpretive reports and working on in situ testing.
  • Observing day-to-day tasks to develop geo-environmental and geotechnical knowledge.
Requirements:
  • Some experience in Geotechnical /Geo-Environmental Engineering.
  • A minimum of a BSc in geology, engineering geology, geography, geotechnical engineering, environmental science or a relevant subject (MSc preferable).
  • Keen to learn and develop geo-environmental and geotechnical skills.
  • Willing to work outdoors and travel for work.
  • Hold a full UK driving licence and be commutable to Glasgow and surrounding area.
  • Full right to work in the UK.
