Job Summary

Orion Group is seeking a highly skilled Principal Nuclear Safety Assessment Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for undertaking nuclear hazard analysis, designing safety assessments, and deriving safety function classifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough nuclear hazard analysis (HAZAN) to identify potential risks and hazards
  • Develop and implement safety assessments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Derive safety function classifications based on unmitigated dose assessments
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deliver safety cases
  • Manage and work with delivery partners to ensure successful project outcomes
Requirements
  • Active DV Clearance
  • Experience in nuclear safety case writing and hazard identification
  • Strong understanding of nuclear safety regulations and guidelines
  • Excellent technical writing and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a highly regulated industry and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications
  • Degree or equivalent in a science-based/engineering subject
