Workshop Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Workshop Manager to join our team at Nicholas Associates Group Limited. As a Workshop Manager, you will be responsible for leading our workshop team and ensuring the efficient and effective management of our vehicle repair operations.
Main Responsibilities:
- Manage and prioritize workshop activities to meet customer and business demands.
- Minimize vehicle downtime by identifying cost-effective repair methods.
- Supervise technical repairs and provide guidance to technicians on best practices.
- Use in-house IT systems to manage workshop resources and control overtime.
- Provide accurate and prompt repair quotations.
- Ensure a safe and tidy working environment, adhering to our health and safety policy.
- Identify and procure best value vehicle parts and equipment.
- Ensure all staff follow company procedures and adhere to servicing schedules.
- Encourage staff to read service bulletins and product updates.
- Explore manufacturer's warranty and goodwill schemes.
- Generate third-party revenue from service and repairs.
- Manage parts ordering, internal stock, and external supplier stock.
Requirements:
- Time-served technician with technical background, preferably in waste tanker or similar environment.
- Strong experience in communicating with internal and external customers/stakeholders.
- Experience in managing parts/equipment procurement and stocking.
- High level of enthusiasm and commitment to customer satisfaction.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate at all levels.
- Highly competent with IT systems, including MS Excel.
- High level of organization, ability to prioritize workload, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate work.
- Initiative to work autonomously.
- Ability to push back and challenge.
- Analytical and numerical approach to interpreting data.
- Full and valid driving license.
