Workshop Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Workshop Manager to join our team at Nicholas Associates Group Limited. As a Workshop Manager, you will be responsible for leading our workshop team and ensuring the efficient and effective management of our vehicle repair operations.
Main Responsibilities:
- Manage and prioritize workshop activities to meet customer and business demands.
- Minimize vehicle downtime by identifying cost-effective repair methods.
- Supervise technical repairs and advise technicians on best practices.
- Use in-house IT systems to manage workshop resources and allocate tasks.
- Provide accurate and prompt repair quotations.
- Ensure a safe and tidy working environment and compliance with health and safety policies.
- Identify and procure best value vehicle parts and equipment.
- Manage staff adherence to Company procedures and servicing schedules.
- Encourage staff to read service bulletins and product updates.
- Explore manufacturer's warranty and goodwill schemes.
- Generate third-party revenue from service and repairs.
- Manage parts ordering, internal stock, and external supplier stock.
Requirements:
- Time-served technician with technical background, preferably in waste tanker or similar environment.
- Strong communication skills and experience working with customers and stakeholders.
- Experience in managing parts/equipment procurement and stocking.
- High level of enthusiasm and commitment to customer satisfaction.
- Excellent communication and IT skills, including MS Excel.
- High level of organization, prioritization, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work autonomously and challenge.
- Analytical and numerical approach to interpreting data.
- Full and valid driving license.
