Residential Care Manager

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Residential Care Manager to lead our new 4-bed service in Derby. The successful candidate will ensure high standards of care and compliance with Ofsted regulations, while fostering a supportive and nurturing environment for our young people and staff team.
Key Responsibilities:- Leadership and Management:
- Provide effective leadership and management to the home, ensuring high standards of care and compliance with Ofsted regulations.
- Manage and support the staff team, ensuring they are motivated and well-trained.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the home, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
- Compliance and Standards:
- Ensure the home meets all regulatory requirements and standards.
- Strive for continuous improvement and aim for outstanding provision.
- Care and Support:
- Advocate for the young people and ensure their needs are met.
- Develop and implement care plans tailored to the individual needs of the young people.
- Foster a sense of belonging and stability within the home.
- Operational Management:
- Manage budgets and resources effectively.
- Ensure the home is well-maintained and all health and safety regulations are met.
- Participate in on-call duties as required.
- Development and Expansion:
- Support the planning and development of the new home.
- Be flexible to manage either LD or EBD services as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
We are looking for a candidate with:
- A Level 5 Management Diploma
- Experience in managing a residential care home, preferably with a focus on learning disabilities or emotional and behavioural difficulties
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Desirable qualifications include knowledge of Ofsted regulations and standards.
