Job Description:
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Export Control Manager to join our client, a leading Aerospace and Defence organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the international programmes within the business, ensuring compliance with export control regulations and providing expert advice on export control related queries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the International Programmes: Develop and implement export control processes and procedures to ensure compliance with export control regulations, and provide day-to-day SME advice and guidance on export control related queries.
- Export Control Expertise: Provide subject matter expertise in leading the knowledge and understanding of key export control regimes and feeding this to the wider business, ensuring compliance with day-to-day business activities.
- Team Leadership: Grow and sustain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, supporting and leading engagements, and providing support to business teams to ensure export control requirements are considered and embedded within future IT toolsets.
- Regulatory Compliance: Support corporate/internal and external audits, including closure of actions where appropriate, and develop and implement export control processes and procedures to ensure compliance with export control regulations.
Requirements:
- Experience: Experience of working in UK and International Export Control regulatory environments, with a strong understanding of International Export Control laws and regulations.
- Skills: Analytical skills with attention to detail, and the ability to interpret complex regulations, as well as team leading and people management experience.
