Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bureau Analyst to join our team at the Ministry of Justice. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing data to identify trends and patterns related to women's behaviors in prisons, with a focus on use of force, segregation, and adjudications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze data from various sources to identify trends and patterns related to women's behaviors in prisons
  • Work closely with safety and security analysts to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to address them
  • Collaborate with mental health, psychology, and neurodiversity leads to develop a comprehensive understanding of the data and implement effective solutions
  • Provide support to the Safer Custody and Security Intelligence Departments
  • Assist in the delivery of an effective Safer Custody focused intelligence and information system
  • Produce a monthly Safer Custody Intelligence Report and disseminate it to relevant stakeholders
  • Regularly update line management on local, regional, and national safer custody issues and intelligence received
  • Ensure that all relevant intelligence and recording systems are updated, maintained, and used appropriately
  • Deliver in-house training on information gathering procedures and reinforce the importance of Safer Custody themes
  • Liaise with other establishments, law enforcement groups, and external agencies to disseminate intelligence information
