Job Summary:

Bechtel Corporation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Project Manager to join our team. As a Construction Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction and related activities within assigned areas of responsibility. This includes ensuring that construction operations are in compliance with design specifications, completed on schedule, within budget, and meet required safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical and administrative direction to construction engineers, coordinators, administrators, and other construction contractor representatives as assigned.
  • Responsible for jobsite operations, including onsite activities of EPCM contractors, construction contractors, suppliers, clients, and their representatives.
  • Establish, coordinate, and implement construction schedules, craft professional deployment, and material and equipment requirements.
  • Control jobsite expenditures in assigned areas for labor, equipment, material, and services, ensuring field operations are within budget.
  • Responsible for overall supervision of personnel in assigned areas of responsibility, ensuring performance evaluations are conducted and counseling programs are maintained.
  • Plan and implement procedures to ensure construction operations adhere to engineering designs, specifications, safety standards, quality standards, schedule, and budget.
  • Coordinate construction operations to ensure they coincide with overall established schedules, maintaining relationships with clients and their representatives.
  • Ensure compliance with Bechtel and local/national regulatory safety codes, requirements, and standards in assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Actively participate in scheduled safety meetings, incorporating the Zero Accident Philosophy into all aspects of construction operations.

Requirements:

  • A recognized degree in an engineering or scientific discipline, or specialized courses in construction management, and/or prior work experience leading to a thorough understanding of the knowledge described above.
  • Knowledge of all phases of construction operations relating to field activities of engineering disciplines, construction technologies, and jobsite management.
  • Knowledge of Bechtel's Zero Accident Philosophy, the Project ES&H Handbook, the Supervisors ES&H Manual, the Project Safety Management Plan, and the Bechtel Core Processes.
  • Knowledge of the Project Construction Environmental Control Plan.
