We are collaborating with a premier manufacturing organization that presents an exciting opportunity for a Purchasing Coordinator. This role offers the potential for professional development, training, and advancement into a senior buyer position.
Position Summary: As a Procurement Administrator, you will play a crucial role in our procurement operations, ensuring the effective sourcing and acquisition of materials vital to our production processes. You will work closely with suppliers, negotiate agreements, and oversee inventory levels to guarantee timely delivery of products while maintaining cost efficiency. Your meticulous attention to detail and strategic approach will be key in optimizing our purchasing procedures and fostering continuous improvement initiatives.
Core Responsibilities:
- Manage all procurement functions related to the supply of goods, materials, and consumables to support the Engineering team's planned and reactive operations, ensuring competitive pricing, high-quality products, and compliance with company standards and customer expectations.
- Process orders in the MRP system and create product codes as needed.
- Collaborate with the supply chain to enhance lead times and ensure timely delivery.
- Generate Purchase Orders (PO) based on confirmed customer orders and internal work schedules.
- Track PO progress, address any delays, and update relevant personnel and systems accordingly.
- Coordinate with inventory management to maintain sufficient stock levels of items, ensuring the company can provide efficient service to its customers.
