Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team at Digital Waffle. As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a critical role in enhancing our development and deployment processes. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our AWS infrastructure, Kubernetes clusters, Docker containers, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (IAC) solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Deploy AWS Infrastructure: You will design, deploy, and maintain AWS infrastructure and services to ensure high availability and scalability.
  • Manage Kubernetes Clusters: You will manage Kubernetes clusters and orchestration to ensure smooth deployment and scaling of applications.
  • Develop and Maintain Docker Containers: You will develop and maintain Docker containers to ensure efficient deployment and management of applications.
  • Build and Maintain CI/CD Pipelines: You will build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline the software delivery process using tools like GitLab.
  • Create and Manage IAC Solutions: You will create and manage Infrastructure as Code (IAC) solutions using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation to ensure consistency and reproducibility.
  • Write Automation Scripts: You will write Python scripts for automation and custom tools to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
  • Monitor and Troubleshoot System Issues: You will monitor and troubleshoot system and application issues to ensure high uptime and performance.
  • Collaborate with Development and Operations Teams: You will collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure smooth deployments and minimize downtime.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree: You must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven Experience: You must have proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or a similar role.
  • AWS Expertise: You must have strong expertise in AWS services and solutions.
  • Kubernetes and Docker Expertise: You must have proficiency in Kubernetes, Docker, and containerization technologies.
  • CI/CD Pipeline Expertise: You must have hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, Travis CI, or GitLab CI/CD.
  • Programming Skills: You must have solid programming skills, especially in Python.
  • IAC Tools Expertise: You must have familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: You must have excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Communication Skills: You must have strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Nice to Have:

  • AWS Certifications: AWS certifications like AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or AWS Certified Solutions Architect are a plus.
  • Cloud Provider Expertise: Experience with other cloud providers like Azure or GCP is a plus.
  • Programming Language Expertise: Knowledge of other programming languages and scripting languages is a plus.
  • Monitoring and Logging Tools Expertise: Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus or ELK Stack is a plus.
