Senior Specialist Paediatric Respiratory Physiotherapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Specialist Paediatric Respiratory Physiotherapist to join our team at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality respiratory physiotherapy services to children and young people with complex respiratory conditions.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide advanced respiratory physiotherapy assessment and treatment to patients with complex respiratory conditions, including those with long-term ventilation and acute-on-chronic disease.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including clear escalation and weaning plans, to optimize patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care and support to patients and their families.
- Conduct education and training sessions for patients, families, and healthcare professionals on respiratory physiotherapy techniques and devices.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of respiratory physiotherapy services and protocols within the trust.
- Degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent qualification.
- Postgraduate qualification in respiratory physiotherapy or equivalent experience.
- Extensive experience in respiratory physiotherapy, including experience of working with children and young people with complex respiratory conditions.
- Advanced communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of autonomy and responsibility.
