About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Administrator to join our team at Dorset Clinical Commissioning Group. As a Clinical Administrator, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of high-quality healthcare services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to clinical staff, including scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and coordinating clinical activities.
  • Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless delivery of patient care, including communication with healthcare professionals, patients, and families.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of clinical databases, reports, and other documentation, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Provide training and support to clinical staff on administrative procedures and systems, ensuring optimal use of resources.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and contributing to the development of solutions.

Requirements

  • Registered practitioner to degree/diploma level
  • Membership of the relevant Professional Body
  • Evidence of wide range of clinical placements relevant to the role
  • Evidence of recent professional development in an up-to-date portfolio
  • Demonstrable skills in written and spoken English to a standard which enables the post holder to carry out the full range of duties and responsibilities of the role effectively

Desirable Criteria

  • Knowledge and understanding of Trust Strategy relevant to role

Working Arrangements

  • Subject to the provisions of the Equality Act, able to travel using own vehicle on Trust business
