Job Summary

The Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced and dedicated Immunisation Nurse to join their Community Vaccination Service team. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in delivering the school age vaccination programme and supporting the management of the service.

Main Duties
  • Administer vaccines in schools, community clinics, care homes, and patient homes.
  • Collect vaccines and equipment from vaccine bases.
  • Triage of consent forms.
  • Provide expert knowledge to service users.
  • Engage with the community to promote the importance of vaccinations.
Requirements

This is a part-time post of [insert number] hours per week, term time only. The post holder will be required to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service. Employment in this post requires an Enhanced DBS check.

The role will be based pan Dorset, with a base of Linden Unit in Weymouth. You will be supporting the management of a team of nurses and administrators on a day-to-day basis, ensuring all clinics and sessions are staffed appropriately and safely.
