Job Summary

The Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Immunisation Nurse to join its Community Vaccination Service. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to make a difference in the lives of individuals and communities by delivering the school age vaccination programme and supporting the management of the Community Vaccination Service.

Main Duties

  • Administering vaccines in schools, community clinics, care homes, and patient homes
  • Collecting vaccines and equipment from vaccine bases
  • Triage of consent forms
  • Providing expert knowledge to service users
  • Community engagement

This part-time post requires the successful candidate to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service. The role will be based pan Dorset, with a base of Linden Unit in Weymouth. The successful candidate will be required to work as part of a team supporting and promoting the importance of vaccines.
