Job Title: Active Directory Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Active Directory Specialist to join our team at Adroit People Limited (UK). As an Active Directory Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting complex IT infrastructure solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement Microsoft Windows Server solutions
  • Manage and maintain Active Directory and Group Policy
  • Implement role-based security delegation and layers
  • Configure DNS, WINS, and DHCP
  • Implement PKI services and SMTP proxy services
  • Manage firewall controls and configure DFS, HA, Clustering, and SOFS
  • Implement RDS, VMWare, vCenter, ESXI, vMotion, HyperV, and VMM Terminal Services
  • Implement MS Cloud solutions incorporating Exchange, Storage, and Shares App services
  • Implement Citrix deployments incorporating PVS and MCS
  • Implement APP-v incorporating Citrix StoreFront
  • Develop PowerShell scripting skills and implement MBAM, BitLocker, and VPN

Desirable Skills and Knowledge:

  • Microsoft, Citrix, or VMWare certifications
  • Understanding of client or mid-range OSes, networking, and security
  • Experience with HyperV, Azure, and Google Cloud
  • Knowledge of HP BladeSystem, or similar blade servers and interconnect technologies
  • Experience with HP Cloud Service Automation, or similar self-service cloud management technology
  • Knowledge of HP Server Automation, or similar system configuration and software deployment technology
  • Understanding of Symantec Datacentre Security, or similar security policy enforcement product
  • Experience with Virtualisation and Container technologies
  • Design of large, complex systems, including practical experimentation and development skills
  • Technical breadth and depth, along with great client engagement skills
  • Knowledge or appreciation of some of the listed technologies, including Foreman, Puppet, Satellite, Ansible, Nagios, AI/ML, Big Data, Elastic Search, IaaS, PaaS, HPC, DevOps, AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift, and Linux-based applications

Requirements:

  • SC Clearance is required
  • Must have lived in the UK continuously for the last 5 years
  • Must be willing to work onsite in Erskine/Cobalt, Newcastle upon Tyne
  • Must be willing to adhere to all UKPS client security controls and restrictions
