Job Title: Active Directory SME

We are seeking an experienced Active Directory SME to join our team at Methods. As an Active Directory SME, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing large-scale Active Directory environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement Active Directory infrastructure, including domain controllers, DNS, and Group Policy
  • Manage and maintain Active Directory environments, including user and group management, permissions, and access control
  • Implement and manage security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection, and encryption
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with other IT systems
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and knowledge base
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing Active Directory environments
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, and Group Policy
  • Experience with security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection, and encryption
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
Desirable Skills:
  • Microsoft certifications, such as MCSE or MCSA
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms, such as Azure or AWS
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies, such as VMware or Hyper-V
  • Experience with scripting languages, such as PowerShell

Please note that the successful candidate must either hold active DV Clearance or be willing and eligible to go through the process to obtain. This role will require you to have or be willing to go through Security Clearance. As part of the onboarding process, candidates will be asked to complete a Baseline Personnel Security Standard; details of the evidence required to apply may be found on the government website Gov.UK. If you are unable to meet this and any associated criteria, then your employment may be delayed or rejected. Details of this will be discussed with you at interview.
