Job Title: Active Directory SME

We are seeking an experienced Active Directory SME to join our team at Methods. As an Active Directory SME, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining large-scale Active Directory environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement Active Directory infrastructure, including domain controllers, DNS, and Group Policy
  • Configure and manage Active Directory security, including role-based access control and delegation
  • Implement and manage PKI services, including certificate issuance and revocation
  • Configure and manage SMTP proxy services, including email routing and filtering
  • Implement and manage firewall management and controls, including access control lists and rule sets
  • Design and implement high availability and disaster recovery solutions, including clustering and replication
  • Implement and manage virtualization solutions, including VMware and Hyper-V
  • Implement and manage cloud computing solutions, including Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in designing and implementing Active Directory environments
  • Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, including Active Directory, Group Policy, and DNS
  • Experience with PKI services, including certificate issuance and revocation
  • Experience with SMTP proxy services, including email routing and filtering
  • Experience with firewall management and controls, including access control lists and rule sets
  • Experience with high availability and disaster recovery solutions, including clustering and replication
  • Experience with virtualization solutions, including VMware and Hyper-V
  • Experience with cloud computing solutions, including Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services
Desirable Skills:
  • Microsoft certifications, including MCSE and MCSA
  • Experience with Citrix and VMware
  • Experience with cloud-based security solutions, including AWS and Azure
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration, including Docker and Kubernetes

Please note that the successful candidate must either hold active DV Clearance or be willing and eligible to go through the process to obtain. This role will require you to have or be willing to go through Security Clearance. As part of the onboarding process, candidates will be asked to complete a Baseline Personnel Security Standard; details of the evidence required to apply may be found on the government website Gov.UK.
